About Us

FlightInstructingJobs.com, Inc. is a new web site that was created for two principal reasons. The first was to give flight instructors a valuable resource in finding suitable employment. The second was to give flight schools a useful tool in keeping a full staff of qualified employees and therefore help increase profitability.

There are several web sites on the internet that are used by pilots to find a new job, but very few focus on the instructor. Flight instructing is usually the first, and one of the most important jobs a pilot will have in his/her career. Many new flight instructors feel that even with hundreds of hours of training and studying to receive their initial CFI, they learned even more as they began to teach someone else how to fly. It is a job that is absolutely necessary to the aviation industry, but is often overshadowed by other facets of aviation such as corporate aviation or the airline industry. With more pilots selecting to take the "civilian route" to gaining flight experience, flight instructing has become an essential tool to building experience, or continuing a rewarding professional career. Within this site instructors will be able to search through nearly 1200 flight school listings that they may not have even known existed. Each state will show a select list of flight schools and exactly who are hiring, and even the ones that are not. This reduces the amount of workload and stress that can be accompanied with finding a new job. Users will be able to use a message board and interactive chat feature to network with other instructors, post questions, or just share some exciting experiences while flying. For those who prefer a more proactive approach they can post a resume for flight schools to review. If instructing in helicopters or even jets is more of what you're looking for, there are companies listed on our site that are looking for you too!

If you own and/or operate a flight school associated with an FBO, a university, or just principally offers flight instruction, this site in an invaluable tool for your business. Internet based job search tools are becoming a common way for professionals in various industries to search for work, and companies have taken advantage of this by using these sites to help grow their business with qualified personnel. We feel that flight schools should also have a site devoted to helping them expand and maintain a well-run business. In the past flight schools would have to either put a listing in an aviation periodical, or find random websites on the internet to fill an open position. Now with FlightInstructingJobs.com businesses can maintain their own listing, and with the click of a mouse, post a message to instructors around the country containing the type of position available and qualifications necessary to receive employment. Flight schools will also be able to review posted resumes categorized by flight time and certificates held that will give them the ability to scan for the perfect match for their company. A message board and interactive chat feature can also be utilized by companies to query other business professionals in their field about their successes and failures, which can help them build a better business model. Whether it be with adding on new types of aircraft, offering different types of instruction, Part 61 vs. Part 141, or even policies and procedures. The answers to these questions are out there when you communicate with people who have the prior experience. It is also very important to note that it is sometimes necessary for companies to post a message online stating that they are currently NOT hiring, or that they only hire within the company. We need to distribute this information so that people looking for employment can have as much information available as possible in making a decision on where to begin, or continue their career in aviation.

We hope you find this site to be a useful tool in helping you with continuing your aviation career, or in the case of flight schools, building an even more successful business.
